When God shines his light on you, small miracles happen
Shot Six Times I know a young woman who worked in a corporation's facility department as an office cleaner. She had a bit of an edge about her. She was let go by the head of the department who was a very difficult person and she didn't like the young woman. During the time of this young woman's unemployment she attended a vigil for someone she knew who had recently died. Something terrible happened at the vigil and the woman was shot six times. She heard the shots first not knowing that she had been hit but then as she ran she began to feel that she was hit in her back in many places. She managed to get to her house where she fell at the doorstep where her mother found her. She told me that she knew she was close to death and in that moment she told God she was at peace and he could take her. Two weeks later she awoke from a coma. She looked around the hospital room with new eyes, a new perspective. She felt that same peace she had felt in that moment she felt God was with her. She was no longer with an edge. Everything about her life has changed. She stopped bad habits and friends who used to like her fell away from her since she had changed into a more loving, kinder version of herself. She knows that God wants her to live and change her ways. She is back at the same corporation but now she has a better job. Fortunately, the nasty head of the department got fired and the new department head gave this young woman a second change. Thank God for small miracles.
I had a client who had two careers and was starting her third. She worked in magazine publishing as a production manager and then as a partner in a food delicatessen. The deli business didn't work out so she was faced with what would she do next. She decided to become a nurse. She was in her fifties when she earned her RN license and she began to search for a job. Just as she was embarking on this new path, her significant other became very ill and she postponed her job search to become his caretaker. Two years had passed when she was finally able to continue on her job path. Her first assignment was working as a transportation nurse but that soon ended and then she tried working in a nursing facility. That ended quickly and then a great opportunity came her way. She was offered a job that would pay her a great salary and she didn't need to do much work. My client had been praying to God to lead her to the right path. It was difficult to find something for an older adult who was entering the nursing field. There were so many obstacles so when this opportunity came her way, she took the assignment. Even though it was good pay and at least something in the nursing field, there was a part of her that didn't like this position, it seemed a bit unethical to her but she needed a job and the prospects looked bleak. Immediately after she accepted the job offer, she received an email about a different job from an agency who contacted her on New Year's Eve of all days. It was a God send, a swift bolt from heaven itself. Someone was in need of a nurse for a student who attended public school. It paid much less than the job she just accepted but she felt that this was the one God had planned for her. She is very happy in her role as a nurse in the public school system. It is perfect for her in so many ways. Thank God for small miracles.
